I made the video around 2011. I added the title cards and original John Barry score the I the day. I’ve had trouble with codecs and uploading it.
The video is the opening space shots of Walt Disney’s the black Hole redone by me in CG.

I showed it to Sean Kennedy and he liked it a lot. He was waiting for the Cygnus to light up 🙂 if you ever go for that he you will have to set up slider orcomplex set of envelopes to get the effect, and that I know next to nothing about.

The lighting up part is the best part.
That is where I stopped. Because I was over whelmed with how do I do this. Then I figured out a really good way the next day. But things cam e up and I never finished it.
Now that Sean Kennedy has seen it I’m gonna have to finish it.

I’ve been looking forward to seeing this sine you first mentioned it at 3DGladiators and it doesn’t disappoint. Great work. 😀
I was also looking forward to the part where the Cygnus lights up. Hopefully, you’ll get to that part eventually.

Right now I’m torn as to finishing it as is. Which is standard size not HD. My original plan was just matching the lighting and shots closely. Now I’m think about diving it HD and improving the lighting.

I meant to make it over here to look at this after Ger reblogged it, but then I got busy and forgot. Though, I’m bookmarking your blog so that I can keep up with your work, since it looks like Darrell didn’t pay his hosting bill. That or 3DG was taken down due to all of the spammers it attracts.

Is that what’s going on? Cuz its been dead for a while. I was unable to get on the site. For awhile. Then I finally was able. But then its been dead since then. I hope not I really don’t want to set 3DG come to an end.

I don’t really know what’s going on with 3DG. I’m guessing. Usually, there are only a few reasons a site is listed as “unavailable.”
1. The Webmaster didn’t pay their bill.
2. The Webmaster intentionally took down the site
3. The site is attracting too much spam or hackers/attacks, so the host disables the site until better security is put in place.
I hope it doesn’t go away too.

It was weird it kept showing as unavailable to me until finally I clicked in 3Dgladiators through my email. Then it went right to it. And its worked ever sense. Super weird.

I thought the site was down this whole time. I’ve tried it all week using my bookmark, but it gave me that “unavailable” page. So, when I saw your message, I decided to try again. When I got that stupid page, I hit “Ctrl+F5” to dump all of the temp files and cookies and reload the page and it worked great. I wish I’d thought to try that sooner.
