Artists That Inspire Me

 With the deaths of some of my favorite Sci-fi artists I thought I would post some of my favorite “Sci’fi” artists.  They have all been an inspiration to me.

Ron Cobb

Ralph McQuarrie

Chris Foss

Jean “Moebius” Giraud

Syd Mead

H. R. Giger

Doug Chiang

Stephan Martiniere

There are many others, but these are all coming to my head right now.

I’ll cover my love for Ray Harryhausen at another time.

    I am a big fan of concept artists…. I think its the first time I have seen Ron Cobb work… is that for Alien?

      Yes that is from Alien. He was one of the concept artists. Always loved his work for that. He also did lots of great movie stuff. Including the Dolrean time machine from Back to the Future.
